Odegbmi’s daughter A-listed alongside D’Banj

Hailed as the 1st lady of Afrobeats, Nigerian born, May7ven is the 2nd Afrobeats artist after D'banj to be A-Listed in the UK with her ladies anthem "Ten Ten" - a mean feat even for some urban UK records, talk less of an Afrobeats/pop infused record.
Her 2008 and 2009 independent releases also meant serious business, carving out a fruitful career path for the talented singer, song-writer and dancer heavily influenced by Fela Kuti meets Michael Jackson. Wining multiple awards, endorsements, tours, tv shows including performing for the president of Nigeria in 2010, MAY7VEN is destined for great stardom.
"TEN TEN" - a clever dance mix infused with Afrobeats drums, heavy synths, Fela harmonies and a very commercial vocal sound - has been making waves in clubs and dancefloors up and down the country and is now poised to challenge for a UK chart position when it is released in May.
May7ven is a major part of the new wave about to hit UK. There is nothing conventional about May7ven, complete with her trend setting looks, brilliant white hair, style, energy and most importantly killer vocals; she is ready to set the UK on fire with her dance skills. The Evening Standard recently described her as the ‘African Beyonce’.
